Hello All, Starting to plan the successor to the Benedictopia office display. This office will be larger, with a larger display, some secondary display tanks, and a few breeder tanks. I will be going through the design process, revisions, and build in this thread. Expect some changes to this, but this is the plan for now: One Primary display - 60"(w) x 72"(d) x 54"(h) = approx. 1000 gal Three Secondary displays - 48"(w) x 30"(d) x 54"(h) = approx. 335 gal Eight Breeder Tanks - 30"(w) x 24"(d) x 30"(h) = approx. 90 gal Total of over 2,700 gallons of tanks. I will be concentrating on only a few species and as you all know, I prefer to house my frogs in larger tanks - even for breeders. ***Disclaimer: Although larger tanks do offer frogs more space and can look more impressive, they do require more attention. Frogs must be monitored closely and frequently in large enclosures. Health issues with frogs are more likely to go unnoticed in larger displays. In addition, feeding / supplementation issues may arise if not extremely careful (insufficient feeding for the size, insects cleaning off vitamins before frogs can get to them, etc). What was Benedictopia? The last pic I have of the full tank: This is the plan for the office (blue lines are glass): I am currently waiting for basement radon test results to come back... just making sure so I don't have to destroy anything again.
