So I'm building a 90G and I've got to the ventilation part. So I'm going to have passive ventilation in the lid on opposite ends of the tank and I'm thinking of using the A.C. infinity fans. One to bring air into tank and one to take it out. My question is how powerful do the fans need to be. Is there a formula to figure it out or...

If I was to only have a fan pushing air into tank down to the bottom of rank via a PVC pipe, would that in turn push older air out the passive vent on the other side of the tank or do I need the 2nd fan for that?

    Trial an error?

I don't have much experience with ventilation, all 3 tanks I have are vented the exact same, but I have different foggy issues in each.

I'd suggest trying it one way before adding substrate and frogs, if it does what you want carry on, otherwise keep trying different things till you get it working
