    Hi Bernie,

I am interested in a pair of your Azureus for $150. One question though: How easy are the frogs to sex? Would it be reasonably possible to assure a male and female with just 2 frogs? Thanks!

If they are adults much easier to tell but if they are juv. then it is a 50/50 chance each time that is why most of us end up buying a few to increase the odds a bit more than 50/50 plus a small group always looks nice.

I agree, groups are nice, but I would be worried about fighting between multiple females. If I purchased 3, with one of the 3 being male, would there be aggression issues between the 2 females?

It is possible. You have to remember frogs are all different and you can have docile and or aggressive females in a group of frogs. Kind of like with people you have nice people and a**h***s. Each frog has its own personality and until you have them in your tank you won't know. One good thing to do if you get a group have many hiding places so if one becomes aggressive the other ones have somewhere to hop away and hide. I have had a bit of aggression with my group of White Banded Fantastica's but also many eggs.:) They have many broms so if one chases the other it can duck away and hide till the other one mellows. I haven't really seen much and no physical signs so as long as they can get away and hide it should be OK but if you see it always happening or one get skinny due to bullying then you have to do something.

I used to have a group of 3 Females that grew up together no fighting for years...I introduced a Male and within Seconds the Largest Female became a DoucheBag to every frog in the tank. After a while I separated off a few of the females and they were easy to sell or trade for an additional male as they were sexed
