I am ordering another fan kit from a Dendroboard member who builds them and I would like to extend the buy to any members here. I am currently using one of these in my imitator tank and it looks and works great. These are by no means cheap, but all of the work is done for you. Literally Plug & Play!

Order would be shipped to me and members would be required to pickup from Burlington or Oakville. Shipping is $11 and would be split between all purchasers. If there is interest I can inquire about lowering the total kit cost.

Order cutoff is Wednesday, January 13 at 12PM.

The kits are $34USD each and come with the following:

    - Power converter
    - dual 3-pin connector
    - 60mm fan
    - 2X aluminum fan filter
    - 60mm fan mount kit

Yes everything is assembled except the fan is not attached to the mount. It also includes zip ties to attach the fan to the mount.

Put me down for 4 if you'll reship them to me on my dime.

Little pricey but I guess the work is done. I like to hook up all the fans in a tank onto one converter to clean up the power bars.

Yeah it's not the cheapest but sourcing all parts and also the mounting is a pain for me :)

If you have everything on one converter, you have no control over timing for each fan.

That's true, luckily for me I have no need to keep single fans off or on. I'll run 4-6 on a single tank so I just need to put the on a timer opposite to the misting system.

I also run a pair for each tank to cool lights. So they just run 24/7 and are connected to the same converter to make things easy.

These parts can be difficult to find in some areas. We have a store that is a couple minutes away that sells everything you need and most of it is very affordable.

What are you using to mount fans inside vivs?

I've always drilled the top. My tops are usually acrylic.

You make a fan kit with everything assembled including a custom suction cup mount. Let me know how much :)

It's certainly possible to build it yourself for much less than this kit, I can't argue that.

That being said ordering, driving to pick things up, shipping, assembly are all a pain in the ass for me right now. Time is limited with our little one!

I am old enough to have come to terms with paying for convenience.

Yes time is the enemy. I do not think the fans is over priced.

My only gripe is that they are suction cup mounted rather than magnet mounted.

The suction cups are awesome. They are a heavy duty cup so they don't come off.

I may ask the designer to try a magnet design for the mount thought.

I do love the rare earth magnets and use them lots. They can be tricky around some pets though. The first one may pass or not. The second one adds the danger of finding the first one with a bit of intestine trapped between them. The ball shaped ones that used to be sold became banned because of the risk.
That said I do have magnets in the terrariums that are twice as wide as the Anoles' heads and glued to decorative bits. More could be easily rendered idiotproof here.
