I was busy yesterday putting this together for the Iquitos pair I bought from Carlos! My lone female is with them and they seem to like the tank and are out a lot so far.

I adore them. They are my favourite frog so far! I love the blend of metalic colours.

I found 6 fertilized eggs in a film canister under a coco hut. I was so clumsy and dumped the eggs out on the substrate accidentally. I really did not expect to find eggs in there. I scraped them into a petri dish and added a bit of methylene blue to the water around the eggs. They are early on in their development with visible spines forming. Fingers crossed! My dream is to have a colony of them.

Awesome. Hopefully they didnt sustain any damage from the drop.

There was no actual drop - they kind of slid out onto the substrate. I reoriented all the eggs the right way. It was the first time frogs have laid in a canister for me and I will be a lot more careful checking canisters from now on.

Thanks guys! I am thrilled! They will go right back in with mom and dad once they are big enough.

They are colouring up! Can you tell I am having a froggy (and winey) kind of day? :)

I also turned the waterfall back on in the azureus tank and am venting it more to compensate.

My Iquitos baby that survived is in with his parents. I had a shoebox lid accident and lost one last week and found him dried on the floor. It was very upsetting. The three are doing great together.
