I had planned to get Nominal Imitators at the Expo yesterday but fell in love with the iridescent colours on these guys. I also bought a 16 × 16 x 20 cube for them. It is a work in progress. They are very bold so far! The call is louder than my Varadero's but a similar sound. I will get better pics! In the first one he is king of the world!

If I remember. The price wasn't too bad for them either.

Eggs already! Also a pic of the male taken through the plexiglass. I don't know why descriptions and pics online depict them as being black with yellow spots. There is definitely a blue green colour on the back too.

Wow eggs already, that was fast! Hopefully they're good.

Be careful with that enclosure by the window. Any direct sun on it will really heat it up fast. You'll also get a ton of algae growth with the natural light.

I've seen a bit of green but that one pictured has way more than I've ever seen before. Very cool.

Thanks Erik! No direct sun on that window.

I added a Bilbergia 'Poquito Mas' and a Nepenthes ampullaria. I see the embryos wriggling. I have 3 film canisters in there but should I put in more? There are 14 embryos.

14 eggs from one female! Wow..

Yes you'll need more than 3 film canisters. You'll want to have 14 individual spots for the tads. That can include your bromeliads as well of course.

I am not sure if the Nepenthes is a good idea or not. I have never seen/heard of it being used as a tad deposition site. I have however seen people claim that frogs can drown in there, not sure if that is true though.

That pair is going to be busy raising 14 tads!
