I am not sure how I missed that video either. It couldn't of happened at a better spot. That's AMAZING. Thank you for sharing.

It's always an adventure opening up the Ameerega bassleri viv. I swear they are constantly waiting in ambush for the door to open. They are prodigious leapers and near impossible to catch once they're out. Anyway, yesterday morning one got out...and with all the skills of an elusive running back, got by me with ease and crossed the room in a couple lengthy jumps.

Well, if the little bugger didn't get up inside Olga!
(Probably should mention that Olga is what we call our massage chair.)
Impossible to catch him in there.
Happy ending...I left out a plate of water and hoped he would find his way out, last night we saw him jump into the plate of water, three of us surrounded him and were able to make the capture and return him to the viv none the worse for wear. Just an adventure to tell his viv mates.

Lol lucky! That could end up disasterous real quick. Glad you were able to catch him.

Took a few pics around the Frogspa yesterday.

I love how the glass frogs turn their heads to look right at the camera.
Posed for a quick photo and vacated the area.
Never a problem getting a close up of the atelopus toads. They couldn't care less about the camera.
Was pleased to get this shot of a young Cauchero. He has bronze/red metallic colouration different from his folks.
Our Vanzolinii colony have matured into sweet looking frogs.
Under photographed super blue. Rare closeup.
Our oldest frogs. Couple of bachelors that have been shacked up together for years. Got them a lady friend, but they seem to be set in their ways....who am I to judge?
    Cheers!

    Caucheros have been busy.

While these four are awaiting pick up, they're working on another load...

Well, it has almost been a year since we obtained our 5 bassleri. They have grown up nicely and have become much bolder since we got them. Still no calling but they do seem more active of late. Their call is loud and distinct and will be unique among our collection. I'm looking forward to having some peepers in the Frogspa.

Usually an adventure ensues whenever I try to get some close ups of the bassleri. Quick couple shots this morning without any escapees.

Though very accommodating pics of the mints never do their colour justice.

Ya, that viv needs a good trim. Hard to manage any maintenance in that one because of those crazy leaping Ameerega. It needs an overhaul before a picture; here's a few older ones.
