I'll be there Sunday... I'm obliged to work again on Saturday.
We'll be there saturday with the kids.
How'd everyone make out yesterday?
I love that place!
I got a nice jewel orchid that I didn't have yet - Sarcoglottis sceptrodes. Also another new bulbo cross - echinolabium x foetidum. Lastly, my girlfriend picked out an Slc. 'Love Castle'. I just hope I can keep that one alive.
Did you get any of the sale stuff? There were some cool larger bulbos for $10 that I almost went for.
Yeah, I'm a sucker for the sales table. Imagine getting a plant cheaper because it's spilling out of the pot. I picked up a Bulbophyllum propinquum on sale, as well as Dendrobium heterocarpum and Encyclia randii, just to try a few new things.
I went today and came home with:
- ornithocephalus myrticola 'clouds summer flurries'
-slc. fire lighter
-and a free Slc. Purple fantasy
I think that's it... )
Holy Crap Jeremy, how high was your bill
Thankfully Clouds had a 5$/10$. I also picked up 10 or so
Wow, that might almost make it worth the 3+ hour drive to go make a sale, lol. Maybe if someone organized a group meet after the sale where we could all hang out and talk frogs/oh and orchids.... >
Where's the thanks button? =D>
I picked up a bunch too...Laura couldn't make it.
Would anyone be willing to take some pics of what they got and maybe lable with a blooming time. I noticed that the less expensive orchids in Clouds Viv list take a year or 2 to get to bloom time I'm interested in dropping almost $100 for an order, but don't know if the ones I'm picking out will do well enough in my vivs to be worth it. I can't grow ANYTHING outside of a viv so it's in or nothing. I just might not be ready for them yet, lol.

Dawn, going to ochid shows might be more what you are looking for often the deal are good and usually more mature plants. Thats not to say anything is wrong with clouds(most of my collection is from clouds) but if you want a plant that will bloom soon shows might be the way to go.
