I love that you're using white for your moonlighting. Blue looks really unnatural to me: apparently moonlight is about 4100K.

Looks like a good amount of light to me as well. With a ten inch depth you should have room for expansion if need be, hey?

I know moonlight is more yellow than what I will use but hopefully when fully dimmed low it will be close to looking right while still being more natural.

Yup that's correct... if needing to ever double the number of lights can still easily fit another 2 in there... think for now that will be enough.

I asked myself that out loud as well when I saw his post.

Wouldn't put it past you, Jan. You're going to have more of that stuff than you know what to do with though, even with such a big build.

Yes. 100lbs... LOL... I will be using quite a bit for this build... plus some small builds. Whatever is left I will use for my plants and my uncle will take for his orchid collection.

We'll be dropping by to see that monster sized tank in person. You really can't grasp it until you see it "LIVE" :). I have broms for you but you will probably clean me out filling that baby.

    Ron.

For sure Ron! You know you and your family are always welcome to visit and check out my ridiculous ideas. I have started growing my plants in anticipation all around the house.

OK finally an update... still crazy at work, but this has got to get a move on. Completed background (maybe some touch-ups later). Glass for top has been ordered. All outlets now wired and GFCI protected per box (so that a single trip wont trip off all power if not needed). Canopy painted with 3 coats exterior Primer, then 3 coats of pure white exterior high-gloss paint (to reflect any stray light). I am now awaiting a response back on the sliding door rails (as this dictates the height of the glass I will need for the tank front).

Looking great so far, Jan. Glad to hear you've been able to spend some time on that monster.
